In existence since 1985, the Marcel Duchamp Cabinet of the Department of Prints, Drawings and Photographs comprises some four hundred works, soon to be published in an inventory catalogue.
Of the collection’s two main complexes, the first comprises Duchamp’s complete printed graphic works as well as all editions of his objects produced during his lifetime from the Dieter Keller Collection, the second extensive materials from the Serge Stauffer estate, including letters, manuscripts, photographs, publications with original prints, books, brochures, magazines, etc., all of which have been digitally archived.
Marcel Duchamp’s outstanding worldwide significance as a source of intellectual stimulation for the development of art in the twentieth century has continued unbroken to the very present. [ UG ]
